Under The Gaslight

Auditions are held. The play is cast.

But the casting is kept secret.

Even from the actors.

Each actor has a few rehearsals, one-on-one with the director, but never with anyone else in the show. On the night of the show, the actors arrive at the performance dressed in street clothes. They get a ticket and program and sit in the audience. The play begins. The actors make their entrances from the audience, standing up and delivering their first lines en route to the stage, where they met the rest of the cast for the first time.

Madness? Perhaps. A train wreck? Entirely possible.

A whole lotta fun?
